The Mission
About the Artistry
Kimball Artistry, literally and metaphorically, is my brainchild. It begins and ends within the confines of my head. In the spring of 2017, my doctors observed that I was likely struggling with psychological illness. A few months later, I learned that I was suffering from both Traumatic Brain Injury and Complex PTSD. Almost a year later, I was also diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder. In this sense, Kimball Artistry was born from a mind afflicted with multiple dysfunctions.
At the suggestion of my therapists, I turned to two of my long-term passions—art and writing. The idea quickly grew from a fanciful idea into a rehabilitative effort. In many ways, Kimball Artistry is an attempt to purge neural disorder from my body. In many ways, Kimball Artistry is a war against the mental health crisis, both personally and universally.
Due to its nature, Kimball Artistry has many responsibilities. First and foremost, that responsibility is to educate. Mental Illness exists at the forefront of today’s consciousness, and Kimball Artistry understands its place within this world. As a result, Kimball Artistry takes a strong stance on communication. I welcome you to visit our blog, which is updated routinely. I also invite you to contact the Artistry through our company email at kimballartistry@gmail.com. I do my best to reply personally to as many of these contacts as possible.
Additionally, Kimball Artistry takes a strong philanthropic approach. While this site is not a business, I do offer to sell prints of the artwork and writing, signed by me, at negotiable pricing. I will not be utilizing this website to line my own pockets. Instead, due to the nature of its origins, Kimball Artistry will be donating all sales to non-profits. Of these funds, some will go towards benefitting mental health treatment and research, some will go towards benefitting TBI treatment and research, and some will go towards enabling the practice and study of art in communities suffering from mental illness.
More than anything else, however, Kimball Artistry is a growing community. Please enjoy the artwork, read the posts, and reach out to us if you feel so inclined. We welcome any contact from visitors, fans, collaborators, and collectors.
